Beijing rewards early starts. The Forbidden City before the tour groups, a morning on the Great Wall at Mutianyu, an afternoon lost in the hutongs around Gulou. What it doesn’t reward is an evening spent working out the symbols on a Chinese washing machine.
So don’t. Book a pickup on your phone in the morning, leave the bag with reception, and get on with the day.
Why laundry is harder than it should be in Beijing
A lot of short-stay apartments in Beijing have a washing machine but no dryer, and in winter it can take two days for jeans to dry indoors. Spring brings dust and the odd sandstorm, which settles on anything left on a balcony. Hotel laundry solves both problems, but at hotel prices.
We sit in between: professional cleaning and pressing, collected from your door, at a price that makes sense for a two-week trip or a two-year posting.
How it works
- Book online or scan our WeChat QR. Tell us your address and when you’ll be in or out.
- Our driver collects from your hotel, apartment or office. Most people leave the bag at reception.
- We clean, treat stains and press everything.
- Your clothes come back to your door, on hangers or folded.
Prices are simple. Pickup and delivery costs from ¥48 for most of the city (farther areas from ¥68), the minimum order is ¥150, and shirts start at ¥25, washed and pressed. Normal clothes come back the next day, and if you need them the same day we can do that for a 50% rush fee.
We cover the main areas where visitors and expats stay, including Chaoyang (Sanlitun, Guomao, Liangma River), Dongcheng and Xicheng around the old city, Haidian and Shunyi. Send us your address and we’ll confirm the pickup fee before anything is collected.

- Everyday clothes, washed and folded by the kilo with our wash, dry and fold service.
- Shirts, suits, dresses and coats, cleaned and pressed per item.
- Down jackets and heavy winter coats, which most home machines can’t handle well.
- Shoes, bags, bedding and curtains.
Tips for a Beijing trip
- Winter visitors: send down jackets and wool coats at the end of your stay, not the start. They’ll be clean and ready for the flight home.
- Hiking the Wall? Muddy trainers can go in the same bag. We clean shoes too.
- Long stay? A weekly pickup on the same day each week is the easiest routine. Just ask when you book.
